Tap Repair or Replacement

Service Description

If you have a leaking tap, it’s most likely going to be repairable by "reseating" the tap, changing the tap washer or, in the case of half or quarter turn valves, by changing the ceramic disc cartridge. Whilst it’s more likely for plumbers to be carrying a variety of tap washers with them, ceramic disc cartridges come in a greater variety and may be hard to match and source. However, we carry a wide range of ceramic disc cartridges with us in the van to avoid multiple visits as much as possible. Repair or replacement of your tap has a fixed labour charge of £120, as long as the tap has an isolation valve fitted beneath it. Parts will be charged separately. If you have a thermostatic shower mixer, you might find that after some time you may not be able to correctly adjust the water temperature, and it will remain either too hot or too cold. In such circumstances, your thermostatic shower valve cartridge needs replacing. This will be done at the same advertised rate. Where you need to change a concealed shower mixer valve, you'll need to get a custom quotation for the job. Please note that this service assumes that there will be an operational means of isolating your water services and if for any reason, e.g. seized stopcock or shared communal mains, we are unable to isolate the water to service and repair your tap, the £120 will be payable as the minimum call-out charge.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, please contact us at least 48h in advance to avoid loss of your service job deposit. Rescheduling, however, can be arranged up to 24h prior to the scheduled service date, without loss of your securing deposit.
